Water Purifier Tank Set Up Guide

Water Purifier Tank Set Up Guide | Step-by-Step Installation

Proper assembly of your Aimex Water Purifier Tank ensures your filtration system operates at maximum efficiency. Whether you are using a benchtop unit or a tank designed for a water cooler, follow these instructions to guarantee a leak-free setup and superior water quality.

1. Preparation and Component Check

Before assembly, unpack all parts and verify you have the following components:

  • Upper Tank & Lower Tank (BPA-Free)

  • 8-Stage Filtration Cartridge

  • Plastic Dome Filter

  • Joining Ring and Lid

2. Essential Filter Preparation (Don’t Skip!)

To ensure the purity of your water, filters must be prepared before installation:

  • Dome Filter: Soak in a bowl of cool water for 10–15 minutes. Use a clean cloth or soft brush to gently wipe the surface.

  • 8-Stage Filter: Soak it overnight in water and then run normal tap water through the top of the cartridge for several minutes until the water coming out the bottom runs clear. This removes any loose carbon dust.

3. Connecting the Filtration System

  1. Install the 8-Stage Filter: Screw the prepared 8-stage filter into the joining ring or the bottom of the upper tank. Ensure it is tight enough to create a firm seal.

  2. Install the Ceramic Dome: Secure the ceramic filter into the upper tank by tightening the nut on the underside.

  3. Join the Tanks: Place the joining ring onto the lower tank, then sit the upper tank firmly on top.

5. Initial Flushing Process

Once assembled, fill the upper tank with water.

  • Allow the water to cycle through the ceramic dome and 8-stage filter into the lower tank.

  • Important: Discard the first two full tanks of filtered water. This "seasons" the mineral stones and ensures any remaining fine particles from the new filters are flushed out.

6. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Slow Filtration: If water flow slows down, remove the ceramic dome and scrub it gently with a scouring pad.

  • Air Bubbles: If the 8-stage filter stops dripping, gently shake the cartridge underwater to release any trapped air pockets.

  • Replacement: For optimal performance in Australian water conditions, replace the 8-Stage Filter every 6 months and the Ceramic Dome every 12 months.
